Norrköpings gatunamn
Boken Norrköpings gatunamn utkommer den 28 november 2014
Lövdalsvägen i Björkalund namngavs den 6 december 2006.
Namnet valdes ”eftersom namnet Lövdalen finns inom området”. Lövdalen var först en backstuga och senare ett torp under gården Skrallen. Den första stugan ersattes av en ny 1817 och 1912 byggdes ännu en stuga. Sannolikt har man här brukat hämta löv till kreatursfoder.
Innan bron över Torshagsån byggdes fanns här ett vad som kallades Hoffmans vad. I början av 1600-talet fanns ett torp som kallades Hoffmansvad och var dagsverkstorp under Björnvikens säteri. Fastigheten Hoffmansvad låg kvar ännu 1903. Vilken Hoffman som gett upphov till namnet har inte gått att fastställa.
Rönnebovägen på Vikbolandets landsbygd namngavs den 4 december 2020.
Vägen löper i riktning mot Rönnebo. Det var mark som tillhörde Bråborg och kanske har fått sitt namn av den närbelägna lilla holmen Rönnskär, som omnämns redan på 1700-talet.
Kvarteret Kvarnmottet i Smedby namngavs den 3 december 1990.
Namngrupp ”fjärilar”. Kvarnmottens larver lever av frön, och förekommer ofta i lagerlokaler och bostäder som skadedjur på främst mjöl, pasta, nötter och torkad frukt.
Den 1 december 1949 namngavs kvarteret Kardusen i Ljura.
Namngrupp ”tobak och eld”. Kvarteren Elddonet, Kardusen, Pipan och Sigillet samt Monopolet i Klingsberg namngavs samtidigt och namnen anknyter till den tobaksodling som bedrevs i området fram till 1947.
Karduspapper var ett enklare, grovt omslagspapper som började användas på 1600-talet. Papperspaketen, så kallade karduser, var alltid fyrkantiga och användes bland annat för att förpacka snus, men även tändstickor, krut och hagel.
Stordammsbron i stadsdelen Berget namngavs den 30 november 1992.
En gångbro har tidigare funnits från Laxholmen till Kvarnholmen i ungefär samma sträckning som nuvarande Stordammsbron. Denna tidigare gångbro kallades Holmbron och uppfattades alltså som en länk i en längre förbindelse. ”Det kan vara lämpligt att nu införa ett mer särskiljande namn”, skrev arkitekten Måns Hagberg, som tog fram namnförslaget för hela Holmenområdet.
Kvarteret Orren i Östantill namngavs den 27 november 1957.
Namngrupp ”fåglar”. Kvarteret Lärkan lades ut som ett kvarter på 1870-talet men hade i början av 1900-talet delats i två halvor av Lilla Nygatan (nuvarande Skiljegatan). Den västra delen fick 1957 namnet Orren.
